I haven't done one of these in quite awhile, but I ran across some really great links I wanted to share. Check them out...
* The Motherwear Breastfeeding Blog writes something about the Catholic church that makes me happy.
* Stacie at The Twinkies lists an excerpt from this commentary on the sidebar of her blog. I have always loved the message it bestows, so go and check out:
Body Language: Commentary on the Intersection of Faith, Sex, & Culture
* My dear blogging friend Trish (baby~amore') at My Little Drummer Boys just celebrated her twins 2nd birthday. Go see their cute little mugs and wish them many more happy birthdays.
* I have a confession to make...as much as much as it appalls me, I did watch the second half of the first episode of The Baby Borrowers. I know that makes me just as bad as someone who slows down at rubbernecks at a car wreck -- what can I say it was a moment of weakness. Needless to say, it made me nauseous. For the life of me could not figure out who would voluntarily give up their infant and let inexperienced teenagers care for them for 3 days. Please don't watch the show, that will only encourage them to have more seasons, but do head over to Amy at Crunchy Domestic Goddess and check out her insightful and comprehensive post on the subject.

You might be wondering...
You might be wondering why my posts have become so scant and succinct in the last few months. Since the kiddos are in bed for the evening I will try to shed some light on why posting has become more difficult.
My number one task on any given day is taking care of P&L (obviously). That is in itself a full time job. But since February, when they were sleeping or when I was attempting to multi-task this is what took place...
In March I spent all my time house hunting on the net, talking on the phone with our realtor and/or mortgage guy, flying to Florida and back in one day, negotiating an offer and praying everything would work out.
In April every last moment was spent packing, canceling utilities, establishing utilities, interviewing movers, booking movers, packing, gathering documents (ie. medical records, birth certificates, etc.)booking flights, reserving a rental car, packing, trying not to loose my mind, packing, oh yeah, and moving 1200 miles across the country with 15 month old twins.
In May we were digging out from mounds and mounds of boxes unpacking and settling in.
In June my babies discovered the wonder of the computer and realised then could now reach the mouse and keyboard. So, I stopped blogging while they were playing on the floor because the moment they saw the screen light up they were on their tiptoes trying to press buttons and asking to be picked up so they could sit on my lap and bang on the keyboard. So far, they have successfully managed to change our screen saver, open our virus protection, and launch various applications through their clicky grabby antics. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention they also figured out where the power strip is to the computer so that had to be moved because they kept cutting off the juice, and if that wasn't enough they discovered the power button on the front of the computer so everything had to be shifted so they couldn't reach that either.
Now, here we are in July and lo and behold Peter has discovered climbing. Not to be outdone Lorelei has discovered saying "up" so that I will pick her up and she can also be at whatever new altitude Peter has attained.
Case and point...

Gator!
Pics of the gator that lives in the canal behind the house.
This first shot is the original, then a crop, then a crop and zoom.

Balancing and Modeling...
This is Peter's new trick. Please don't believe it is limited to this toy, he has officially graduated to climbing anything he can find.
Lorelei wanted to show off her big girl outfit. She was very happy with her jean skirt and asks to wear it often. And by asks, I just mean she grunts at me and shoves it into my hand until I let her wear it.
PS. Yes, it is ketchup on his onesie and Lorelei is wearing her pj's in the middle of the day. That's how we roll...

Our Own Peter Pan...
Lil' Peter discovered his shadow tonight. He saw it on the kitchen floor and waved to it and kept bending down to touch it. It was quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. Lorelei took the opportunity of his distraction to eat his share of pudding.

Two Little Clothes Horses...
I am pretty sure this newest phase is payback for all the times I didn't put the kids in clothes. Last summer (their first) they pretty much lived in their diapers. You can see examples here and here. Consequently, they now enjoy wearing as many clothes as they can find. For example...
Winter hats...
or Mommy's tank top...
...or, best of all, the jammies they pull out of the dresser all by themselves and bring to me to put on them. These were their choices last night. Mind you they already had on onesies. Peter even had on a pair of shorts over his onesie, but they fussed and fussed until I put these clothes over their existing outfits.
Project Runway here we come!

Toots are funny...
While playing yesterday after her nap Lorelei tooted and then giggled.
She then proceeded to squeeze her belly, toot again, and roll on the floor laughing uncontrollably.
Toots are funny.
